    Thank you for a very comprehensive guide, the "smoke" over the mountains is very beautiful. I'm very curious of bears but I wouldn't want to get up too close to one in the wild, so thank you for the tips!

    We visited the Great Smoky at the end of November and though we did not have snow, it was pretty cold! That trail looked rather icy and definitely required some attention! I have a pair of microspikes but never got to wear them. We did see a black bear sow and two cubs by the side of the trail, what a fantastic sight!

    I would have never thought that this was America's most visited national park. I totally thought it would be Yosemite. Had no idea it was free too! Thanks for showing all the hike options. I'm all about those easy ones 🙂
